Christian Sande was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated from Hamline University and William Mitchell College of Law. He is admitted to the bar in the States of Minnesota and Washington and to the U.S. District Courts for the District of Minnesota and the Western District of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Through law school and for ten years after his admission to the bar, Christian was employed at one of the Top 20 law firms in Minneapolis and traveled nationwide in representing the firm’s clients in antitrust and securities class actions, agricultural and environmental matters, commercial litigation and elections and political law. From 2004 to 2008, Christian served as a Council Delegate to the Minnesota State Bar Association Section on Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law.
In 2005 and 2006, Christian was a candidate for Minnesota Secretary of State. As a first-time candidate, he gained 42% of delegate support at the Minnesota DFL Convention in June 2006. He withdrew his name from nomination in favor of Mark Ritchie, who was elected Minnesota Secretary of State in November 2006.
Christian has focused his political and professional background in representing clients in political and ethics matters, regulatory compliance and business dealings, and in prosecuting class actions on behalf of businesses and individuals who are victims of price-fixing and securities and consumer fraud. Christian is a published author and a regular media commentator on political and legal issues in Minnesota.
